Spray tanning is a team sport! You + your spray tan artist need to work together to ensure you are bronzed and blended and beautiful for days. Obviously, sometimes things happen. Here are five things that may be what’s coming between you and your perfect glow:
Your spray tan tech is… Less than qualified. Or you’re getting sprayed in a booth π± listen, I get it. Cheap spray tans are tempting! But you truly get what you pay for. Anyone can buy a spray tan machine and call themselves an artist – BUT without the proper training, it’s very easy to turn people orange or streaky or worse. Same for a booth. Solutions and techniques aren’t always one size fits all, and having a (qualified) human spraying you makes a HUGE difference.
This should go without saying, but do π not π wear π jeans π or π leggings π after π your π appointment!! Until your first rinse, you MUST wear loose fitting clothing to ensure the solution stays on your skin – and not rubbed off onto your clothing.
You’re getting wet (from water, sweat, or… other things). Consider your spray tan an excuse to skip your workout, not do dishes, and make your hubby bathe the kids!!! Lay down, relax, catch up onΒ @netflixΒ – but for the love of God do not get wet or sweaty!
Skin to skin contact is great for babies – but not fresh spray tans. Remember that loose fitting clothing we talked about? Make sure they’re pants and long sleeves so you can avoid as much skin to skin contact as possible. And ladies?? No sexy time until 24 hours after your spray!
